Summer braids by stephen low, neville hair & beauty

Braids are a summer staple and these rope braids took centre stage at the Antonio Grimaldi Paris Couture show. Stephen Low, supported by the Neville Hair & Beauty salon using L’Oréal Professionnel, gives us these simple steps to create the rope braid knotted bun.

Get the look

1 Prep the hair with L’Oréal Professionnel tecni.ART Pli and find the centre point of the hair.

2 Create four equal sections from each temple to the centre point and mirror down the back to the nape.

3 Tip the head upside down and rope braid from nape to centre point. Apply L’Oréal Professionnel tecni.ART Liss Control to secure.

4 Repeat and mirror on each section and secure with elastic.

5 Combine the four lengths together into a pony tail and secure with elastic.

6 Split the remaining length in half and rope braid one half to the ends.

7 Knot the braided section and un-braided section and twist into a tight bun.

8 Finish using L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Medium Hold hairspray.
