Step up and shine scholars enjoy michelle griffin mentoring

The two hairdressers who won the Step Up and Shine scholarship for 2014 have enjoyed a day of training with extension expert Michelle Griffin. Hannah Pettinger from NJUK Beautiful Hair, Chesterfield salon and Ollie Vines from Heaven Hair, Salisbury enjoyed a day devoted to extensions, with Michelle taking them through four different extension systems explaining the benefits and suitability of each one while giving them an overall view of the extension market. Michelle then spent time with the duo working on blockheads. "Both Ollie and Hannah have chosen different courses and workshops to attend as part of their year, depending on what they want to specialise in. They both felt passionately that by having a day with Michelle Griffin at her Birmingham academy they would learn everything they need to know about extensions with neither having worked with them before," said World Hair’s Step Up & Shine Scholarship mentor Debbie. Ollie added: "Going into the course with very little knowledge on hair extensions I feel I now have a strong understanding of them. I never knew how effective and creative hair extensions could be, not only for adding length and hair density but also for creating volume, texture and adding different tones to the hair."
