Learn how to cut, style and finish this punky undercut style with our easy to follow step-by-step from Heath Grout for TIGI.

1. Apply TIGI Bed Head Straighten Out to the hair as a cutting agent.

2. Take a curved horseshoe section from the high recession to below the crown across to the other side.

3. Start the cut at the sides and use a scissor-over-comb technique with thinning shears, working from the hairline towards to the horseshoe.

4. Comb the remaining hair from the top to the natural fall and point-cut horizontally at a low elevation, starting at the fringe and working along the sides and back.

5. This will create the disconnection from the underneath area.

6. Repeat the same technique on the opposite side.

7. Blow-dry the hair flat with a small cushion brush.

8. Smooth out and eliminate any natural movement using a flat iron.

9. At the top, work with horizontal sections from the crown moving forward. Remove the corner of weight using deep, parallel point cutting.

10. Add shine and separation using TIGI Bed Head Headrush and Candy Fixation Mega Whip.
