Inspiration can be found in many places at Salon International - from shows and seminars to new product innovations and the exhibition itself, where stands were more creative than ever and acted as stage sets for some stunning products.

At ghd the luxurious art deco theme of their Christmas gift sets was expressed in a red velvet booth at the back of the stand, where plush curtains parted to reveal comfy chaise lounges and scarlet lighting. A life-size print of Katy Perry, the face of ghd, watched over the seductive scene.

Easydry showed how their disposable towels can transform a salon with a busy laundry room scenario. Dirty towels and overloaded washing machines contrasted against the sleek salon on the other side of the stand, which was clean and efficient thanks to Easydry.

Earthly Body transformed their stand in to a bedouin tent with sweeping fabric walls, lanterns and wooden screens. Providing an oasis of calm in the centre of the Hair Show, the relaxing surroundings were perfect for the brand's indulgent body oils, candles and pampering products.

The house of Kent was established in 1777 and for this year's show they presented an actual house, crafted from beautiful wood. With light glowing from all the windows and doors, it was a home from home in the heart of the Hair Show.

The Z.One Concept stand was a light and airy retreat, with bubble walls forming an arching tent to house products from Milk_Shake. White, bright and impossible to miss, the stand was an eye-catcher right next to HJ's British Hairdressing Awards gallery.
