Spellbinding style at voodoo hair salon

Published 28th Oct 2010 by sophieh

James Smith's latest salon project, VooDoo in Northampton, gives him the chance to really stand out in two industries he loves - hairdressing and interior design.

There was already a salon on the premises, but says James it was in need of "a well-deserved injection of style".

James, who has worked on interior design projects around the world, adds: "This was a pretty straightforward refurb for me. Everything was already in place, such as the plumbing, so all I needed to do was come in and powder its nose." The whole refurb took just two weeks.

"I wanted to create another striking salon that got the town talking, and I think I have done that. There are so many features in this salon and a whole load more to come."
