So far, so good

Despite all my attempts to get ahead of myself before Christmas, the first few days of January 2007 have still proved hectic. While managing the workload, I also have to remember to sip my way through two litres of bottled water as part of my 'New Year new me' health regime. (4lbs lost so far). I wished I started my regime a bit earlier than New Year's Day when, on Monday, I judged the TIGI Photographic Competition. The judging part was fine, but when someone pointed a digital camcorder at me and asked for my opinion on the entries, my first thought was "Oh no! The camera adds 10lbs!" My second thought was "Oh no! I sound like Ian Beal from Eastenders crossed with (a butcher) Julian Clarey when my voice is recorded."
The guys from TIGI seemed happy with the result of my screen debut, but if it's used 20 ft high on the night of the awards ceremony later this month, I'm sure I'll be cringing under the table - assuming I can fit under the table by then.
I may have to crank up the weight-loss programme a few gears, particularly now I've been invited to Oman by L'Oreal for the Matrix Conference. I didn't think I'd need to think about a summer wardrobe for at least another couple of months, but now I have to try and squeeze into shorts and t-shirts by February 2! I'm sure it will be worth the effort and can't wait to fly the HJ flag internationally.
