Snapshot winner announced

Well done to all of you who entered the February Snapshot competition on My HJi .

The work was of a really high standard and our judge Neville Ramsay designer wig specialist and art director at Ramsay and Johnson had a tough time chosing a winner.

In the end the image that most wowed him was this brunette updo by Paul Simmons. Neville says: "Images were of a very high standard with beautiful hair and good over all look, but the one that stood out for me was Anni - beautiful hair with impeccable shine."

Talented Paul will receive a place on Revlon's Blonde Ambition Course as well as four Revlon Professional Interactives backwash for his salon and was delighted with the news.

"I'm really pleased to have won the snapshot competition. I own a salon but nowdays leave the running to someone else and work as a hair photographer," says Paul.

"This shoot was inspired by the Pirelli calendar 1985 by the late Norman Parkinson. For me, it summed up the good side of 80s fashion.

"The hair was coloured with 6nw matrix just to lighten the dark tone 2 shades. I then used crimpers and then loosly gripped it up."
