James Pecis created his signature braids for the Simone Rocha Autumn/Winter 2014 show, with a hint of rebellion and a mood inspired by the Irish wilderness.
The show: Simone Rocha Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: James Pecis for BaByliss Pro
The look: Triple braids with a veil of hair around the hairline
The inspiration: A rebellion against last season with the typical Simone hint of Irish wilderness
The key product: BaByliss Pro 16mm Dial A Heat Tong
Get the Look
1. Blast hair through with the BaByliss Pro Volare dryer to add loads of texture of the head, ruffling through by hand.
2. Separate hair into three sections; top middle and sides. Leave an inch out around the hairline.
3. Cornrow each section. Instead of dividing each plait into three even sections, use two small and one large to create an irregular shape and texture to the hair.
4. Shape the centre braid on top in a snaking pattern across the head and down the nape and keep the two side sections straight.
5. Knot braids at the nape and then continue plaiting to add chunky sections.
6. Pull the braids apart to loosen and pin at random across the back of the head.
7. Use the BaByliss Pro 16mm Dial A Heat Tong to curl sections of hair from the hairline section in random directions and fluff out with your fingers to create an airy texture that floats as the models walk.
