Bruce Masefield and the Sassoon team created low ponytails with a tribal twist for the Simon Gao Autumn/Winter 2014 show.
The show: Simon Gao Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Bruce Masefield and the Sassoon Team
The look: A chic, modern twist on a low ponytail with a deep side parting small bride on the side of the head
The inspiration: Refined meets tribal
The key product: Sassoon Professional Halo Hydrate
"We wanted to continue the feeling of refined detail and graphic aesthetic in the hair," said Bruce.
Get the Look
1. Prep the hair with Sassoon Professional Halo Hydrate leave-in conditioner and dry smoothly.
2. Style hair into a low side parting, fall just over the ear.
3. Add Sebastian Drynamic for a bit of grip and texture.
4. Braid a small section from the lower parting side with a scalp technique, creating a short cornrow and tying off.
5. Gather the remaining hair in a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and secure.
6. Tease out hair from the crown and within the ponytail to create a lived-in feel. Finish with Sassoon Professional Motion Hold.
