Side partings at marc jacobs and carolina herrera

There was texture, texture, everywhere at New York Fashion Week yesterday. From the clothes to the hair, textures flowed from fabric to hair. Beautiful autumnal hues walked down the runway for Marc Jacobs, complemented by minimal but distressed hair, that looked like she had just got out of bed. Over at Carolina Herrera, smoothed hair didn't distract from the patterned dresses, while over at Monique Lhuillier, high plaited top knots added height. However, they all had one thing in common: side partings. Low side partings can transform a look from this season's centre partings and waves combo, and with it skimming the eyes can look fresh as well as sexy. Combined with modern day textures, it is a look that will suit a red carpet event through to a rock chick look for the day.
