Session styling isn't all glamorous!

For anyone who thinks that session styling is a really glamorous career choice, I'm here to tell you that isn't always the case!

I've just been in Cape Town filming a TV advert for a car company. I can't tell you who it is yet because it is a new launch, but the company in question are launching a new convertible that is being marketed to women.

The ad features four beautifully coiffed women driving round in the car, so we spent three days cruising around Cape Town with a film crew following in a car and another overhead in a helicopter.

Sounds good so far; but, as you can imagine, keeping all four women's hair looking perfect while they drive around is a complete nightmare.

The wind kept blowing in the wrong direction so we had to keep on stopping for me to tidy it up. It turned out that it was easier for me to sit beneath their legs while we were filming because it meant I was quicker at getting back to them to touch up their hair. 

I'm sure you can imagine how good I felt being cramped up at their feet for three whole days! And me being me, it was then straight back to the salon for three full-on days seeing clients, which was pretty exhausting.
