Seckingtons salon raises £5,000 for water aid Seckingtons Salon Raises £5,000 for Water Aid Seckingtons salon in Northampton raised £5,000 for Water Aid at their annual charity showcase event. The evening saw clients, family and friends of the salon descend on the acclaimed Auntie Ruth's private member's bar in Northampton city centre for an evening of fundraising, fashion and awards. The brain child of Seckingtons founder, Johnny Seckington, the showcase was organised to bring together all of the people who are dear to the team and thank them for their ongoing support while raising money for their chosen charity. Every member of the team - from assistants to art director - created a collection, which they presented live on stage. Ella Rhodes was crowned overall winner, taking the title of Collection of the Evening. Also awarded on the night were Steve Herne-Carpenter for Customer Service, Micky McMahon for Men's Hair, Maddie Dowling for Outstanding Achievement and Jade Wright, who won Apprentice of the Year. Through tickets and a raffle on the night, the group raised more than £5,000 for Water Aid. Johnny says: "It was such a fantastic evening and the salon and our clients have been buzzing about it ever since. We are so lucky to have such a loyal customer base here in Northampton and I wanted to hold an event for everybody to enjoy. It's been a great year for us at Seckingtons, both creatively and financially and I wanted to give something back to the people of Northampton and my team to say thank you. The fact that we have raised such a huge amount for Water Aid too is just the icing on the cake - I couldn’t be happier!"
