Finalists for the Schwarzkopf Creative Competition 2014 have been announced, with 18 salon teams from across the UK now competing to win one of the four titles up for grabs.
First-round judging saw each team present a moodboard of Spring/Summer 2014 trends to a panel of industry judges. Those that were whittled down to the final will now go on to produce an entire four-minute presentation, taking responsibility for every element - clothes, makeup, models, choreography and music, as well as the hair. Salon owners, managers and creative directors are strictly hands-off, leaving all of the responsibility to their creative teams.
The grand final will take place at The Midland Hotel in Manchester, where judges will include Andy Smith of John Carne Hairdressing, Neil Atkinson of Mahogany Hairdressing and HJi’s web editor, Rachael Gibson.
There are four titles to be awarded on the evening; Best Presenting Team, Best Colour Technique, Best Creative Men's Look and Winning Team. As well as the pride of winning, the overall winners will go on recreate their winning looks on their very own shoot.
