Schwarzkopf announce the 2012 young artistic team
The Schwarzkopf Young Artistic Team 2012 have been chosen from a panel of 50 hopefuls after a tough day of auditions at the Schwarzkopf London Academy.
Each applicant was given the gruelling task of creating a total look, including make-up and styling, in just one hour; before presenting their look to a panel of judges that included hair professionals, journalists and industry experts.
The five selected will undertake a whirlwind 12 months of new experiences, including mentoring and training from some of Schwarzkopf's top educators; an opportunity to create their own collection and chances to assist and appear on stage alongside some of the industry's key professionals.
The successful competitors that will unite to become YAT 2012 are:

- Tori Mitchell, Hensmans
- Anthony McMeiken, Sherlocks
- Paula Steward, Lara Boot Hairdressing
- Katy Flanagan, Cross and Co
Catherine Adams, Young Artistic Team Manager, says: "They were all incredibly focused on the day and showed an amazing amount of talent and confidence for such a young team.
"We are really excited about our five members and looking forward to a wonderful year working with them."
