Salon of the Year 2007 Finalists the Hair Advice Centre, raised plenty of smiles and over £300 of funds for
Breast Cancer Care, when a naked butler joined their nineteen-strong team for the weekend! As well as temporarily transforming their premises into a pretty pink wonderland, the five-star salon in Englefield Green invited a charming, bare-chested beau to wait on clients and tend to their every need during their ‘Tickled Pink Tea Party’. In exchange for a small donation to the charity, clients enjoyed service with a smile and a six-pack from the topless hunk during their treatments at the salon. In addition to providing stimulating head massages, dressed in just tuxedo trousers and a collar, the buff butler got the ladies flustered and pink cheeked by feeding them a selection of tasty themed treats including pink fairy cakes, pink champagne, tasty Turkish delights and fruit from their pews.Louise Wood, manager and owner of the Hair Advice Centre believes it was a great way to raise funds and support Breast Cancer Care.“Breast Cancer accounts for almost one in three of all cancer cases in women*, and as the majority of our clients and stylists are female, we felt it was essential to give our full support," she says. "We are delighted with how our fun-filled fundraising turned out, and hope that the money raised will makes a real difference to Breast Cancer Care”
