Apprentices from the Sally Montague Hair Group recently took part in the annual apprentice competition, which was created to ensure that the salon group's stars of the future get a chance to shine.
While in the past apprentices have presented a moodboard and model, this year saw the challenge turned up a notch with a photoshoot element.
Angel Montague-Sayers, art director for the group, shared her editorial expertise in an inspiring workshop, before apprentices held their own shoot with photographer Holly Booth.
Ellisia Mcdermott from the group’s Ashbourne salon and Hollie Whitworth from the Belper salon impressed judges on the day, winning bags full of brushes and products and a L’Oreal Professionnel educational course of their choice.
Group director Sally Montague said: “Nurturing the talent of tomorrow is something that has always been important to us.
"With Angel at the helm, the apprentices learnt so much about what goes into a shoot, and the winners excelled in working well as a team to produce an on-trend look.”
