The Rush Artistic Team showed off their wealth of experience with a quartet of styles at the 2012 L'Oréal Colour Trophy - with a breathtaking stage show to match.

The Triptych presentation combined three powerful elements - fashion, hair and music - in four very different looks, for a creative whirlwind of a show which celebrated the UK fashion scene.

Making the most of the spectacular stage and four-metre high curved LED screens, the show was accompanied by a series of bespoke high-definition stereoscopic digital film installations by renowned creative Doug Foster. Completing the experience was an adrenalin-pumping performance from underground superstar, Ruby Goe.

The highlight of the visual spectacle was, of course, the quartet of looks created by the artistic team. The first section was inspired by current catwalk trends with voluptuous shapes and beautiful curves working with beautiful, bouncy curls for a gorgeously glamorous opening.

Section two celebrated the darker side of British style, as showcased by labels including Gareth Pugh and Alexander McQueen. Tina Farey, editorial director of Rush Hair, said: "We wanted these looks to be quite dark, with a mysterious feel."

Next on stage were a series of male models, demonstrating the latest trends in barbering inspired again by current catwalk trends. Quiffs, volume and texture all played a part in combining high fashion looks with wearable finishes.

The final looks reflected this season's sport luxe trend as well as more traditional heritage styles. "We wanted to celebrate the best of British," said Tina. "There's a bit of the Olypmics in there but we were also inspired by the Queen's Jubilee. We looked at the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, which influenced shapes in the hair and also the military styling. We wanted the models to troop out like soldiers, but still keep it upbeat and fun." A series of scorching neon-bright shades added the fun factor, while the Busby-inspired shapes showcased styling skills.

"RUSH's Triptych is a celebration of all the elements that make the UK fashion scene so exciting and vibrant," concluded Stell Andrew, Rush Hair international creative director. "We
set out to create an exciting visual spectacle to ignite everyone's senses."
