Richard ward hair & metrospa hosts 2012 junior of the year awards

Marking the end of a year's intensive education and assisting, juniors showed off their talents in front of an audience of parents, partners and friends, as well as an esteemed panel of judges including HJ's deputy editor, Ruth Hunsley, Jo O'Neill and Carl Mccaffrey from Toni & Guy, Kathryn McMahon from L'Oreal Professionnel and Richard Ward himself.

For the Technical Achievement Awards, juniors were briefed with creating a commercial look that combined current trends with client wearability. As well as creating a suitable style, entrants were also judged on research, inspirations and presentation.

The Junior of the Year award itself was voted for by the senior team at the salon based on work ethic and achievements throughout the year.

Richard said: "Hellen and I are consistently blown away with the support and dedication of not just our juniors, but the senior team members who ensure the future stylists coming through the company are of an exceptional standard. The judges were really honest in their comments and it's great to hear that outside encouragement and that the future of Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa is in good hands."
