John Anthoney John Anthoney is a Master Craft educator with Matrix and salon owner in Blackpool. His salon of 13 years is a stones throw from the beach and an integral part of the LGBTQ+ community. He is passionate about all things colour, from creative placements, new techniques to bespoke formulas and is the driving force behind the salon’s social media, keeping things and bright and colourful as possible. John will be host for the night and answering all your questions. Rosie Briscoe After studying fashion and textiles at art school, Rosie started training as a hair stylist and joined hair teams such as Matrix Destination. In 2014 she co-won North Western Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards. She’s now a freelance hairdresser based in Manchester, with a keen interest in fashion. Rosie is all about evolving and personalising her client's style and will be showcasing the strength of colour depth and lightness and taking your artistic expression to another level. Simon Townley Simon Townley loves creative cutting but is better known for his gent’s work within football, premier league and the England team. Born with brittle bones and currently a wheelchair user, he is an advocate of adaptive ways of cutting and inspiring others with accessibility issues into our inclusive industry. He’s a big fan of social media and enjoys being on stage presenting and podcasting for Hair Socials and Matrix. Simon will be working with a first-time blonding model, revealing how Unbreak My Blonde combined with a precision haircut create the wow factor. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat to Simon and all the artists throughout the night so you leave feeling totally inspired! Christian Wiles Multi-award-winning stylist Christian Wiles has been contributing his expertise and knowledge to the hairdressing industry for more than 20 years. Often called on as an expert in men’s hairdressing, Christian also offers groundbreaking cutting, colouring and styling and finishing techniques designed to push your boundaries and ensure that clients are ahead of the game. Christian has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry and boasts an impressive set of accolades, from celebrity styling to TV work. Christian will be showcasing a host of interesting and inspiring techniques, perfect for recruiting colour shy clients. Discover subtle colour placement, and subtle re-growth to help entice in first time blonders. Desmond Murray Multi-award winning Desmond Murray is known for his bold vision and big personality – alongside a unique hairdressing talent. Honing his hairdressing skills, mastering the discipline to take him to the top of his game whether appearing on TV or tending to celebrity clients, Desmond understands the world stage and how he can break through expectations to make his stories bigger. An accomplished photographer, his correlation of creating amazing hair and capturing it on camera is a seamless process. Renowned for pushing boundaries, Desmond’s session will be about creating flawless colour combined with soft and delicate textures. Lisa Farrall Turning heads for the past 20 years, Lisa Farrall is in demand by anyone who is anyone both in the UK and around the world! She has a host of creative awards and credits to her name and has worked with Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott and Kendrik Lamar. When not on set, Lisa is educating hairdressers with inspirational talks and demonstrations sharing her knowledge of hairdressing and the importance of spreading equality.
