Staff from Regis UK have been pounding the pavements, parks and pathways of West London to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The nationwide hairdressing outlet invited customers, suppliers, friends and families to take part in the ten-mile trek, with 75 participants joining them for the hike through Richmond Park.
The event kicked off a month of in-salon fundraising for the HAIRraising charity appeal, with cake sales, wig days and raffles still to come. Jackie Lang, managing director of Regis UK commenting: "It was wonderful to see so many of our staff, suppliers, friends and family come together in support of this fantastic charity."
Launched by hairdressing entrepreneur John Frieda in 2010, the HAIRraising appeal is designed to unite the UK hairdressing industry to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. More than £1million has already been raised towards a much-needed new operating theatre, with the target now another million towards a respiratory unit.
