With London Fashion Week just days away, the great and the good of the British fash-pack attended the 2012 ELLE Style Awards to celebrate talent across the industry.
And with an array of A-list stars in attendance, all eyes were on the red carpet to admire the best of British style.
Here, Leo Bancroft and Philip Bell of Ishoka share their thoughts on all of the celeb hairstyles from the night...

Alexa Chung
LB: "Alexa's hair looks much fuller here than normal and I'd say this was achieved by good use of colour and what is now her signature dip dyed ends and messy bob. She knows what works for her face shape and isn't about to change anytime soon. The split fringe draws your eye down to her beautiful face."
Pixie Geldof
PB: "Although I like her dress and make up and the overall statement she is making, I feel as though Pixie's hair looks like it has dropped. I know she's not a typical polished princess but it would be a much stronger statement if her hair had been pinned into shape."

Christina Hendricks
LB: "Christina loves to make a statement and after a rather sophisticated and polished series of looks recently she's gone all out on the relaxed and colourful trend. The effortless waves work well and being tucked behind one ear adds interest without being too contrived. "
Jessica Chastain
LB: "I think Jessica has pitched this look perfectly. The softness of the tone with the elegant-but-effortless style sit beautiful with her skintone, eye colour and choice of dress. She definitely gets my vote."

Christina Ricci
LB: "I'm not loving this look on Christina - she has an expensive dress on with what looks like a cheap blow dry that has been straightened to death. I think she has very fine hair that needs to have a graphic outline. I would prefer to see her with a short, defined bob."
Florence Welch
LB: "With Florence it's all about the quirky, vintage style which she carries off here with the vibrant red. Her hair looks healthy and had a beautiful shine to it - there is no drama here, just great hair and wicked colour. "

Emeli Sande
LB: "I'm a big fan of Emile and her look is great but she is limited with a quiff. The blonde is a beautiful, clean and sparkling tone and the curl on the quiff has a good softness about it, which gives Emile a feminine edge. "
Tolulu Adeyemi
PB: "There might be an awful lot going on here but I like the energy Tolula is giving off. The print and shape of the dress with the detailed hair and key pieces of jewellery give a real fun vibe to the whole look."

Laura Carmichael
LB: "This is a faultless cut and colour for Laura. The English rose look is exactly who she is and the delicate multi-tones create warmth while the cut complement her face shape."
Naomie Harris
PB: "Naomie looks beautiful. She looked stunning in the canary yellow dress with the soft curls at the BAFTAs and she looks just as great with poker straight hair in royal blue - clearly she is very versatile and knows how to carry off a look."

Laura Haddock
PB: Laura is much prettier as a summer blonde, and while I get the dark hair vampy feel, the green dress was the wrong choice of colour as it sucks the colour out of her. I would also prefer to see a peek-a-boo fringe to break up the forehead slightly.
Sophie Ellis Bextor
PB: "Change the record Sophie. It's about time that Sophie came up with something new - she
's been rocking this vampy look for years now and it's lost its edge. Also, those eyebrows need to be darkened. Has she not heard of HD Brows?!"

Poppy Delevigne
PB: "Poppy carries this look off perfectly - she is my favourite of the night. The colour and ease of the ponytail gives a effortless, summer feel which is enhanced by the sunkissed skin and vibrant print."
Tali Lennox
PB: "I love this look - the intricate detail of the dress with the soft, youthful ponytail is a perfect balance."

Naomi Campbell
PB: "We're used to seeing Naomi polished and groomed so there are always high expectations - that aren't met with this look. I am not loving this at all. It looks cheap, as though she got a crimping wand for Christmas! "
Isabeli Fontana
LB: "Not really feeling this look - the dress, the headpiece or the make-up. It's a bit old fashioned and Isabeli should know better. She has good hair with interesting colour and it would have enough without the headpiece. "

Lisa Snowdon
PB: "This is the best I have seen Lisa look for a while. She looks happy and glowing, conformable and confident in her own skin. Her hair is a beautiful colour and the tones work perfectly with her choice of dress."
Grace Woodward
LB: "Gillian has great hair but this is not such a good look for her. It looks like she's done it at home - not something we'd recommend for an awards evening!"

Leah Weller
PB: "Leah is a pretty looking girl and I like her style. Her hair works well with the collar but I would have preferred to see her in something else - there's too much going on here, and it doesn't quite pull together."
Gillian Anderson
LB: "Gillian has gone for a cleaner version of the hair worn at the BAFTAs and while it is well executed I think the yellow dress is the wrong tone and the earrings make the entire look a little too 'done' for the Style Awards."
