Rainbow Room International worked for the third consecutive year at TRNSMT Festival. Here's how they transformed the performing artists backstage.
The award-winning salon group, which celebrated its 40th year anniversary in the hairdressing industry, opened a pop-up salon backstage. This gave the opportunity for celebrities and performers to have their hair styled for the show.
David Nicolson, director of Rainbow Room International Royal Exchange Square salon, shares: “The salon was incredibly popular. Many artists were delighted to be able to get their hair looking its best before going on stage. All three days at TRNSMT were fantastic and we are looking forward to next year already.”
The salon chain has a longstanding connection to the music festival, styling behind the scenes at T in the Park for 15 years before it rebranded to TRNSMT.
This year, Scotland’s biggest summer festival at Glasgow Green hosted a number to celebrities such as Stormzy and Catfish. This gave Rainbow Room International the opportunity to pamper solo artists and bands before they head up to the stage.
Which Celebrities Went to the Pop-up Rainbow Room International Salon?
Over the three-day weekend, the team opened their pop-up salon doors for the hottest acts, band members and even celebrities who would like their hair styled up.
The lead singer and guitarist, Ryan Potter form The Hunna had his hair undercut and trimmed by David.
Whereas Jack Metcalfe, a fellow band member and drummer of The Hunna, had his hair braided by Kyla Colquhoun.
The band members from Sundara Karma and The Amazons were treated to trims and texture, with most of them opting for a messy grunge style. The hairdressers used Schwarzkopf Professional products to create the rockstar hairstyles.
Other pampered bands included The Snuts, Fontaines DC, Mystery Jets and Crica Waves.
