Alan and Linda STEWART.jpgStaff at Rainbow Room International's Buchanan Street salon in Glasgow are helping to stamp out misconceptions relating to drugs in support of the Scottish government's Know the Score Informing Parents campaign.

The initiative taps into the close relationship between hairdressers and their clients, to pass on information about the Know the Score Campaign.

For the pilot scheme, Rainbow Room International team members will be promoting the campaign's resources, including its website (www.knowthescore.info) and freephone helpline (0800 587 587 9) to clients.

Said Wil Fleeson salon director: "Many of our clients are parents and we recognised that we offer an alternative route to telling them about the Know the Score campaign. We were delighted to get involved in a campaign that aims to help parents get all the information they need about drugs so they can speak confidently to their kids about the issue. Our intention is not to preach to our clients or suggest that their children are involved with drugs, but simply make them aware of the campaign."
