Rainbow room international bring hair expertise to trnsmt festival

TRNSMT Festival returned to Scotland this September after two years of cancellations due to the pandemic, and award-winning colour experts Rainbow Room International worked tirelessly behind the scenes as backstage stylists for the fourth year. Over the three-day day event, Rainbow Room International stylists from the Royal Exchange Square and Buchanan Street salons hosted a pop-up salon backstage for performing artists to get their hair cut and/or styled before heading on stage. During this weekend, the team were put to work putting together looks for stars including Becky Hill, and band members from Twin Atlantic, Seagirls, Declan McKenna, Tom Oddell and Voodoo’s. This is not the only major Scottish event the Rainbow Room International has a hand in, with a resume including the Scottish BAFTA’s the MOBOs, The Scottish Style Awards and T in the Park. David Nicholson, director of Rainbow Room International’s Royal Exchange Square salon, commented: “To be back at TRNSMT this year was fantastic, the atmosphere and vibe were incredible. Our Rainbow Room International team had a great time and were excited to be back at the event since 2019."
