Project x 2015 students shoot the double at tigi Project X 2015 Students Shoot at TIGI The Fellowship Project X 2015 students recently shot not one but two photographic collections at the legendary TIGI Bedhead studios. Working with house photographer Mauro Carraro and Project X leader Ashleigh Hodges, the team were also treated to expert advice from art director Isabella Hyde. A former FAME Team member and creative director for RUSH, Isabella is no stranger to a shoot and the challenges of working on a shoot as part of a team. The group managed to shoot two collections in their day at the studio; one black and white, high-end editorial inspired by Mario Testino and one more avant-garde, shot in colour and inspired by campaigns from designer Tom Ford. "It was an amazing shoot," said Ashleigh. "The guys worked so hard. They had to be really adaptable when we swapped models around, changed the brief halfway through the day and called on them to try new session techniques, but they coped brilliantly and produced some fantastic work." Mentor Isabella Hyde agreed, commenting: "The students were great. They learned about ensuring the hair suits the model, how to get the best out of every look once it’s in front of the camera, the importance of trying new techniques on set and that less is often more. I was really impressed with both their work and their attitude." Project X student Laurence Granger from Laurence Granger Hairdressing added: "I was so nervous. It was my first ever big photoshoot and my model went on set first which felt like a lot of pressure, but Mauro and the team guided me so well and made me feel really comfortable. I leaned exactly what to be focusing on at each stage of my model being shot. It was brilliant!" galleryWidgetDec14
