Professional hairdressers

I was recently telling my mum about a disagreement I had with a hairdresser last year and she told me you should never argue with a policeman or a hairdresser. When I got stopped by a policeman last month for going through a red light while on the mobile reading a map (allegedly!) I argued with him until he threatened to fine me and search the car. Mother's advice is flutter your eyelashes, flirt a little and they're bound to let you off. But what about a hairdresser?Mother's advice is never argue with a stylist, especially when you are sat in the styling chair, as your life is in their hands. Everyone wants to wreak their revenge, and it's best not to upset someone with a sharp object in their hands. But, I stated, hairdressers are professional and would never dream of cutting someone's hair too short, colour it too red or let them leave with something that wasn't of the highest quality. While customers can be hard work -- and yes, we've all had them on the phone or face-to-face -- every hairdresser I know would maintain a dignified and professional demeanour . Or would you...? ruthx
