Popular ponytails for autumn/winter 2010

Ponytails are a staple look for summer and looking at the runways of New York Fashion Week, it seems they will be popular for autumn/winter too. With textured, dishevelled tails at Lacoste, side ponies were de rigeur at Pamella Roland. Smooth and sleek, they featured low side partings and knots around the base. This simple style is a perfect accompaniement to a busy neckline and can elongate the smallest of bodies. Pamella's collection featured chunky knits as well as classical evening wear, showing just how versatile the pony can be. For added interest, the hairline was decorated with bejwelled fringing.
