Phorest clients share hairdressers priorities for reopening
Leah Durrant, owner of Leah Durrant Hair and Beauty in Surrey noted that throughout the first lockdown, she was with another software company but since switching said: “It’s been so much easier using Phorest”.
I think it’s really important to look after yourself. As a business owner we need to make sure we’re mentally ready to show up every day on top form.Phorest also got the chance to sit down with Sinead Kelly, owner of Sinead Kelly London & L’Oréal Colour Trophy winner. When asked how she has been managing the last year of lockdowns, she said, “My advice to anyone out there is you either sink or you swim. If you can’t change something, why bother worrying”.

I think salon owners need to think about themselves. If you’re not happy, you cannot give your team what they need – it’s really important for business owners to give themselves a break. Start with yourself because if you’re not good, your team won’t feel good.Lisa Eccles, owner of Zinc Hair and Beauty in Ireland and vice-president of the Irish Hairdressers Federation also joined Phorest for a catch-up. Salons in Ireland, unfortunately, don’t have a reopening date confirmed with rumours that they may have to wait until May. That being said, it hasn’t stopped Lisa from staying positive and working on her business.
