Phenix Salon Suites celebrated five years since opening its first UK location in Manchester with the launch of its community event, Phenix Live.
Held at The Foundry in Manchester, the event brought together salon suite owners, industry professionals, and guests to mark a significant milestone for the brand and to celebrate the growing Phenix community across the UK.
Phenix Live featured a series of personal life and work stories from Phenix Salon Suite owners Ashley Longmore, Mitch Woodiwiss and Rupert Hayes, who shared their experiences of building independent businesses within the Phenix model all having been there since the beginning.

The evening also welcomed special VIP guest Errol Douglas MBE, who joined the celebrations as Guest of Honour and speaker, inspiring the audience with his personal story and sharing advice shaped by his own journey to the top of the industry.
Speaking following the event, John Gillespie, Managing Director of Phenix Salon Suites UK and Europe said: “Reaching five years in the UK is a huge moment for us, and launching Phenix Live felt like the perfect way to mark it. Our community is at the heart of everything we do and hearing our suite owners share their stories so openly reinforced exactly why Phenix Salon Suites exists. This event is just the beginning of how we plan to bring our community together.”
Errol Douglas MBE added: “It was a real honour to be invited as Guest of Honour at Phenix Live and to help celebrate five years since they opened their first UK location. Hearing directly from suite owners building their futures with courage, independence, and belief was genuinely moving. Phenix represents a bold new chapter for the UK hair, beauty, and wellness industry and I can’t wait to see where it goes.”
