Anthony Turner created sporty, sleek, futuristic helmets of hair with ponytails poking out for the Peter Pilotto Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.
The show: Peter Pilotto
Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Anthony Turner for L'Oreal Professionnel
The look: Strong, shiny and
hard gelled helmets of hair with a deep side parting. Lengths are styled in a ponytail with a contrasting natural texture - like hair poking out of the helmet.
The inspiration: Snowboarding helemts - a bit techny and
Tron-like; hair that doesn't look like hair at all
The key product: L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Glue
Get the Look
1. Working in small sections, cover the entire top of the head with L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Glue. Work only from the roots to the mid-lengths, leaving the ends of the hair (from just above the nape) untouched.
2. Work in a deep side parting then rub gel into each section by hand, combing through to create indents and a sleek, slicked-back look. Use one tube of gel per model.
3. Bring the remaining lengths of hair together and tie in a ponytail just above the nape. Leave this hair untouched - most models will have it tucked in collars.
4. Just before the models walk out, cover the hair with Mythic Oil to add even more shine.
