Paul Mitchell has continued its ongoing involvement in sports marketing event, by sponsoring two awards at the UK's most intense Hip Hop crew competition idance UK. The prestigious event qualifies UK Crews, B Boys, Poppers and Lockers for the World Hip Hop Championships in America. As well as their support of the Adult Crews category, Paul Mitchell also sponsored the brand new Freedom of Expression award, which rewards the most creative crew or individual dancer. Award winners, including Peridot Crew, who scooped both the Adult Crews and Freedom of Expression Categories, each received £300 cash, a trophy and one year’s supply of Paul Mitchell products. And throughout the event both competitors and spectators enjoyed free haircuts, colour, styling and goodies from Paul Mitchell® Luxury Hair Care and stylists from Studio Five, Kirby-in-Ashfield. "The professional athlete and the professional stylist are devoted to their craft and passionate about their work - they are both artists," says Paul Mitchell founder and CEO John Paul DeJoria. "To sponsor young, dedicated sports people whether at Hip Hop or Action Sports is hugely important."
