Patrick cameron makes vintage modern at salon live

"Sexy hair is really the whole story when it comes to long hair" Patrick Cameron told his Salon Live audience at Salon International. It was a statement he backed up with Prêt-à-Porte and Haute Couture looks from his Modern Vintage collection.

Giving a modern twist to classic 60's looks, Patrick promised he'd show "how to get fun looks into your hair" and delivered a spectrum of voluminous updos.

A highlight, and personal favourite of Patrick's, was a beautiful blonde bouffant edged with fishtail plaits, which Patrick unveiled in his effervescent style saying "a bouffant and a braid - how cool is that?"

While other touchable ready to wear looks featured teased out braids and and loosely pinned bouffants - all looks that could be recreated for day-to-day wear for salon clients.

Next it was to the haute couture collection where head-turning looks included a soft pretty creation with beautiful loops pinned at the nape of the neck and loose tendrils at the front, and a soft oversized bun that was accessorised with an alice band for a preppy finish.

"You'll notice that the hair is at a 45 degree and that really is the most flattering angle because it elongates the neck. It is all about proportions for me," explained Patrick.
