Paterson sa celebrate a successful year

The stunning Melville Castle Hotel, Scotland, was the perfect venue for Paterson SA to celebrate a successful 2009 and look to an exciting future at their annual conference.

Proceedings began with an address from Jon MacLeod who reflected on some of the achievements of the past 12 months and explained that 2010 will see a new focus on the creative skills.

Jon paid special tribute to team members Natalie Murphy, Lee Smith, Lauren Ramage, Natalie Hamilton, Euan Garman, Robert Purves and Karen Dick who had given up their free time to visit the patients at the Marie Curie Hospice in Edinburgh. 

"It takes a very special person to go to the hospice and cut hair and wigs for the patients. It is a selfless act and I am extremely proud of each and every one of you," said Jon.

It was also a time to pay tribute to the individual stars of 2009 with the much-awaited awards, which had been voted for by each members of the team and an independent panel. And the winners were:

  • PSA Young Stylist of the Year - Jade Harrison
  • Lothian Road Stylist of the Year - Gary Murdoch
  • Dalkeith Stylist of the Year - Natalie Hamilton
  • George Street Stylist of the Year - Natalie Murphy
  • Commercial Quay Stylist of the Year - Austen Thomson
  • PSA Stylist of the Year - Natalie Murphy 
  • PSA Fantastic Hairdresser - Heidi Margiotta 
  • Assistant of the Year - Chloe Brunton
  • Retailer of the Year - Natalie Murphy  
  • Retail Salon of the Year - George Street
  • Salon of the Year - George Street
  • Artistic Salon of the Year - Commercial Quay
  • PR Image of the Year - Layla McArthur
  • Assistant Image of the Year - Morgan Taylor
  • Image of the Year - Dalkeith Art Team 
  • Collection of the Year - Dalkeith Art Team
  • GP Award for Passion & Commitment - Marie Curie Hospice Team
