After three weeks of training - and some real hair horrors along the way - Ninia Benjamin was named the top dog of
Celebrity Scissorhands 2007.
With Lee Stafford looking on rather like a proud parent, the stand-up comedian went up against Radio One's Aled Hayden Jones in a live stage show.
The pair had already had an hour to prepare their models, but in the remaining 20 minutes they completed their looks on the stage in front of a packed audience, including some of the biggest names in the hair industry. While making the final touches to their models, the pair fended off questions from Lee and judges Beverly C, Errol Douglas, Richard Ward and Sasha, Toni and Anthony Mascolo.
The judges told Aled that they were impressed with his use of terminology - although not convinced he knew what it meant! - but choose Ninia as the winner because they admired the way she 'juzshed-up her really challenging cut'.
The Grand Final also featured a catwalk show where each of the Celebrity Scissorhands students paraded one of their creations.
After the show Lee Stafford's comment that 'Beverly C had told him that some of those cuts could have featured at Salon International', which was generous to say the least! However the show did demonstrate how far you can come with intensive training and - more importantly - raised an awful lot of money for
Children in Need.
