Nhf warns on exclusivity clauses in zero hours contracts NHF Warns on Exclusivity Clauses in Zero Hours Contracts Zero hours contracts have been in the news a lot recently, and now the NHF is advising salon owners that they cannot contain exclusivity clauses. It was announced by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills this week that contracts cannot contain exclusivity clauses which prevent employees from working elsewhere, even though the contract does not guarantee work or hours. NHF chief executive Hilary Hall said: "Zero hours contracts are not really common place across our industry but if your salon does use them, it’s now important to check the small print and remove any exclusivity clauses." Employment contracts are one of the resources most requested by NHF members. Changes to employment law means employers must keep their contracts up-to-date.
