Guido Palau created a modern, otherworldly look for Alexander Wang's Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Show: Alexander Wang

Stylist:  Guido for Redken

Inspiration: "Severe and simple-looking."

The look:  Hair was placed in a low ponytail with a slicked-down centre parting.

A strip of electrical tape in either black or glow-in-the-dark white was added down the middle. "It looks more futuristic and takes [the style] to another level so it's not too simple," Guido explained.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with Redken Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow Dry Lotion and blow-dried straight.

Hair was then secured in a low ponytail, with a slight kink through the lengths created with a Sultra Bombshell oval curling iron.

Key products: Redken Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow Dry Lotion
