In 1974, Ralph Lauren designed the outfits for the film adaptation of The Great Gatsby. With a new remake on its way this year, it was time for the designer to revisit the roaring twenties.

Inspiration: Redken creative consultant Guido explained that hair was clean, simple and modern - pure Ralph Lauren. He described it as true beauty, with a luxurious finish.

Get the look: Hair was blow-dried with Redken Guts 10 Root Targeted Volume Spray then centre-parted and raked back from the head by hand for an effortless feel. Hair was then secured in a ponytail a few inches above the nape and secured with an elastic, which was then wrapped with hair. Hair was then sprayed with Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray with flyaways smoothed out with a brush.
