Nick Irwin created textured faux-hawks for the Nicholas K Autumn/Winter 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.

Show: Nicholas K

Stylist: Nick Irwin and the TIGI team

The inspiration: Effortless and bohemian, with a tribal theme.

The look: Textured faux-hawks.

Get the look: Hair was divided into two horizontal sections, across the recession.

The bottom section was styled into a ponytail, using Catwalk by TIGI Sleek Mystique Look Lock Hairspray and Session Series True Wax to add shine along the sides.

The ponytail was then plaited and secured into a flat bun at the nape of the neck.

Curlesque Mousse was then worked through the top section and diffuse-dried in. Once dry, the hair was then brushed back over the bun with more mousse added for hold. The top section was then pinned to set the 'mohawk' shape with the clips removed as the models walked out.

Key products: Catwalk by TIGI Sleek Mystique Look Lock Hairspray, Session Series True Wax, Curlesque Mousse
