Heath Grout created cone-shaped buns for the Haus Alkire Autumn/Winter 2013 show at New York Fashion Week.
Show: Haus Alkire
Stylist: Heath Grout and the TIGI team
The inspiration: Tim Burton's animated film, The Corpse Bride. "It's dirty, slept-in hair," said Heath. "With an element of creepy but also beautiful."
The look: A cone-shaped bun with wisps pulled out around the face.
Get the look: Hair was misted with TIGI Catwalk Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo to create a matte finish.
Hair was then parted in the middle and covered with Your Highness Root Boost Spray from the roots to the mid-lengths to keep hair flat to the head.
Session Series Wax was then applied along the parting and down for a couple of inches on either side.
Hair was then pulled back into a low ponytail at the nape, then split in two. One half was backcombed with a brush, the other left smooth.
The two parts of the tail were then wrapped together and secured with an elastic, then folded in on itself and tied with multiple bands to create a cone shape. Hair was then pulled out around the face to create a wispy feel.
