Despite ongoing struggles due to the pandemic, Fierce Hairdressing has recently expanded into Wombourne village near Wolverhampton on Friday 16 October following post-lockdown demand.Tammy Mallet, owner and creative director of Fierce Hairdressing, opened her first salon five years ago after working in The Dorchester in London and a number of award-winning hairdressers’ in the Midlands. She has now moved across the village to larger premises due to demand for her team’s hair and make-up services. With 18 years of experience, Tammy had previously been shortlisted for high profile awards including Newcomer of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards, L’Oreal’s Women’s Colour Trophy and Great Lengths Fast Track Extensions. She has also worked on fashion shows including Christian Lacoix’s designer Bridal Show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and London Fashion Week. The new salon is said to offer “the best in all services, from hair cuts (including men’s) and hair colours, to bridal and occasion hair, extensions, blow drys and hair treatments.” Opening the new location has also allowed Tammy to extend her services, with make-up now a core service alongside hair.On the move, Tammy says: “I love being based in Wombourne and it was important for me to stay local to remain loyal to all our fantastic clients. We needed to move to bigger premises and I have found the perfect location. We are living through unprecedented times and while we were in full lockdown, I wondered if I would ever open again so to be launching a new, bigger salon is beyond my wildest dreams.”She continues: “I have been overwhelmed by the response to the salon opening. We have had cards and gifts from clients and well wishers from the local area which has been wonderful. Launching a new salon in these unprecedented times was a big decision to take but it felt like the right thing to do so I am just looking forward and feeling positive about the future.”
