New salon stress!
I have been in Somerset all week setting up my new salon, and shouting at my builders. Theyforgot it was Valentine's Day so no-one worked on Saturday or Sunday; as a result we are two days behindschedule, so we've now been doing 20 hour days to try and catch up. I am now an experienced plastererlabourer, I have discoveredunknown abilities with a paintbrush and I am a trained carpenter's mate! We are now on schedule to open onTuesday. A lorry full of furniture was deliveredtoday, but because we're behind I have had to put it into storage for threedays which was annoying. I wasinterviewing all day on Wednesday and Thursday, which worked out at about 30people all together, and then I have everyone coming in for trade tests onMonday and Tuesday.
The nice stuff got done too, like seeing my signage, mylogo, website and business cards. GokWan is going to come down at the end of March and do the launch for me whichwill give me time to iron out any problems and plan a fabulous launch!
I am really missing London. It's no fun being a plasterer's mate when you've had to turndown tickets to the Brit Awards... I miss the hustle and bustle, and I really miss my girlfriend. I also missed the Sympodium on Mondaywhich sounded great and I was gutted to miss it. My plan is to do one day a week in Somerset, then three tofour days at Errol's and then the rest of the time doing TV and my work with Matrix. I had a really good chat with Channel 4 recently so watch this space for mynext TV venture!
