Last weekend saw the launch of Zen’s new distributor in Ireland at an amazing showcase event held at the Maldron Hotel in Dublin. The newly formed Zen Luxury Extensions Ireland is founded and owned by multi-award winning hairdresser Bozena Sarek, and her husband Stefan.
Bozena has been associated with Zen for over eight years; since Zen launched in the UK, she has not only been using their products in her salon Bozena Sarek Hairdressing, in Navan, Co. Meath, but has attended many shows and exhibitions with Zen to showcase their products to a wider hairdressing audience.
The launch and showcase event took place on Sunday 6 February, with Zen UK’s Managing Director Johnny Yip, UK Manager Kelly Sainty, UK Educator Simon Stainton and UK Session Stylist Stacie Woodford Jennings all invited to attend. They joined Bozena and 14 members of staff from her own salon plus from her five-franchise Dublin-based salon group called DRY & FLY.
Around 40 hairdressers and salon owners from all over Ireland attended the event and following a brief introduction from Johnny Yip, these delegates were educated and entertained by the talents of Bozena and her team. They demonstrated the versatility of of Zen’s taped extensions for everyday wear on four models before creating some amazing Avant Garde styles to properly showcase their talents and the quality of Zen hair extensions.
Bozena said: “I love working with Zen products as the quality is second to none, so when the opportunity came up to become the distributor in Ireland, I jumped at it.”
She added: “I have been working with the Zen UK team for years and they are amazing, so I am really looking forward to this exciting new era between us.”
Johnny said: “Bozena has really been part of the team since we launched, so for her to become Zen Luxury Extensions' distributor in Ireland is a perfectly natural progression for us.” He added: “This weekend has been absolutely fantastic, we have been pampered at Bozena’s salon on arrival, wined and dined, had the fabulous launch and showcase, then a final day sightseeing round Dublin and all it has to offer.”
The event was a remarkable success - not only because of the number of salons that attended, but because there was a high level of engagement, with lots of questions being asked and lots of interest demonstrated, plus sales and subsequent training booked.
Johnny summed it up by saying: “All in all, it has been a huge success and incredible show put on by Bozena Art team.”
