Legendary stylist Beverly C MBE is one of the most prolific female hairdressers in the business. Twice winner of British Hairdresser of the Year and a regular in the press and on TV, Beverly is adored by women everywhere for her no-nonsense approach to making women look and feel beautiful, Beverly specialises in the total look - a great cut, beautiful colour and a sublime finish.
We caught up with Beverly to ask for her views on the upcoming hair industry extravaganza, Salon International.
What's your favourite Salon International memory?
Actually I've got two! The first time I did Salon Live for HJ when Salon was held at Wembley... it was a massive show and really exciting and secondly, the first time I directed the Fellowship stand as President. It was and still is an incredibly complex and exciting project over three days and involving hundreds of people! What a thrill!What do you get out of your Salon International visit?
Personally it's just the best opportunity to network on an international scale all under one roof with meeting facilities and social opportunities galore. It's also a fantastic way to project and PR yourself internationally.
What will you be doing at this year's exhibition?
My plans as yet are under wraps but I will definitely be there - wouldn't miss it for the world.
Who and what inspires you most at the exhibition?
It's got to be the Fellowship stage to see all of those amazing hairdressers ranging from the newest FAME team members right up to Trevor Sorbie all working together as a team and delivering continuous education for three days is quite something.
What's your top tip for first time visitors?
Get hold of the exhibition guide in advance and plan your weekend. Book your tickets in advance for education and identify which stands you need to see so that you don't run out of time.
What's in your Salon International Survival Kit?
Flat shoes, loads of water and a phone that can take pictures and carry hundreds of mobile numbers! In the old days I would have had a lot more in my survival kit but at ExCel you can access pretty much everything you need. It's a great venue.
