With the end of
Movember in sight, your male clients may well be on the look out for some facial hair grooming tips to keep their new-found facial fuzz under control.
Keeping moustaches and beards clean, groomed and neat can make a world of difference - taking a gent from Mr Twit to male model.
And while growing a mo' is all down to your client, caring for it is where you can step in with clean-up services, retail recommendations and a bit of sharpening up of the shape.
We spoke to Michael Francos, company educator at D&J Ambrose for his expert advice on helping that 'tache look terrific right 'til the end.
1. Once you have grown some facial hair keeping it clean and fresh is vital. Make sure you shampoo and condition just as you would your regular hair.
2. Keep it groomed. Clients can either maintain the length themselves (if they have shorter facial hair use a clipper with a guard #1) or pay you a visit to neaten and shape it up.
3. A crisp ‘tache is the ultimate foppish look. Twirl the ends around when you have length using some moustache wax (try
Penhaligon's moustache wax) for a real dandy feel.
4. Keep a moustache comb handy in your back pocket for a daily comb and groom.
5. Try not to colour facial hair as it will never look natural – it looks better with a few greys in.
