Mizani afro look award finalists compete in live final

The eight talented stylists shortlisted for the prestigious Mizani Afro Look Award were recently announced following a live final at the L’Oreal International Academy in London. With the photographic entry opening up in January 2014 the eight finalists were selected to battle it out in the live final. The eight stylists in the running are:  Envy Hair Studio in Guernsey;  Afrotherapy Salon in London; Radiant Hair Salon in Bermondsey; Bob in Balham; Headmasters in Notting Hill Gate; The Boutique Salon in Elesmere Port; Paul Edmonds in Knightsbridge and Francesco Group (House of Fraser) in Birmingham. Each presented a model which showcased their interpretation of the brief to create a fashion-led Afro look. The 2014 judging panel consisted of some of the industry’s elite judges including Charlotte Mensah, Junior Green, Kim Johnson and International Celebrity Hairdresser, Nicky Oliver. This closely watched award will be announced as part of the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final Awards on Monday 23rd June at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
