Paul Hanlon was inspired by the strength and sensuality of Peter Lindbergh for the hair at the Missoni Autumn/Winter 2015 show.
The show: Missoni Autumn/Winter 2015
The hair team: Paul Hanlon for Moroccanoil
The look: Sculpted curls with a high-shine, wet-look finish
The inspiration: "I was Inspired by the late 1980s and Peter Lindbergh photos for Italian Vogue," said Paul. "I wanted to create a hairstyle that felt organic and sculptural."
The key product: Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong
Get the Look
1. Beginning with damp hair, pull a large circular section of hair into a loose ponytail at the crown of the head and secure with an elastic.
2. Next, split ponytail into two sections and wrap it around top of head (like a wig wrap), flattening it with hairnet and a generous amount of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.
3. Then apply a generous amount of Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse throughout hair that was left out of the pony tail and scrunch as you blow dry with diffuser. This will keep the hair piece-y and rough in texture.
4. Using a small barrel curling iron, curl 1” sections of the hair from root to mid-lengths. Allow to cool.
5. To create the final shell-like, masculine shape, generously spray the hair with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong and then sculpt the hair upwards towards the crown and secure pieces into the wig wrap.
