Two members of the MilkShake Creative Team recently combined their skills for a steampunk-inspired showcase of hairdressing.
British Hairdressing Awards finalist
David Baker from The Vault and Shelley Pengilly from Shelley's Salon collaborated to create a series of looks inspired by the underground trend.
"The show was inspired by the SteamPunk movement," said Shelley. "It's a countercultural vision of what the future might have looked like to those born in the Victorian era. The mode uses styles that were iconic throughout the nineteenth century; think top hats, corsets and cage skirts."
Hair was inspired by these garments and created with MilkShake products. Looks included a top hat-inspired shape, a Victorian collar created with frizzy texture and styles topped with metal accessories handcrafted from copper, steel, cogs and wheels to add drama to each look.
The finished looks were presented at the Village Hotel in Cardiff. Watch the MilkShake Creative Team collection come to life in the video below!
