The 2012 FAME Team has an exciting year ahead, full of opportunities to hone their skills and show off their talents, while representing the best of young British Hairdressing talent.

This year, the team will be in the safe hands of artistic director Bruce Masefield, UK creative director of Sassoon and manager, Bruno Marc Giamettei of Marc Antoni.

As they prepare to embark on a year of hairdressing adventures, we meet the 2012 FAME Team....

Becky Hunt

Salon: Sanrizz, Southampton

Age: 26

Why did you want to join the FAME Team?
Hearing about 2007 FAME Team member - and Sanrizz artistic director - Leonardo Rizzo's experience was enough to encourage me to take the plunge.

What are you most looking forward to?
The education. As a young stylist I feel I have a lot to learn, and what better way to do it than working alongside some of our industry greats?

Which hairdressers do you admire the most?
Vidal Sassoon for revolutionising the art of hairstyling, Angelo Seminara for his innovative and rule-breaking techniques, and my boss Tony Rizzo for his sheer passion and commitment to the industry.

Ashleigh Hodges

Salon: Flame Hair Studio, Towcester

Age: 22

Why did you want to join the FAME Team?
I read about the FAME Team when I was 14 and have been following them fanatically ever since. It provides amazing opportunities like learning from iconic industry mentors, as well as fellow team members.

What are you most looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to presenting my new-found skills. The creative aspect of our job is so exciting, so to be a part of photographic shoots and showcasing models is a dream come true for me.

Which hairdressers do you admire the most?
Errol Douglas, Vidal Sassoon, Lisa Shepherd and Dan Spiller. Vidal is like a God - just talking to him would be enough!

Isabella Hyde

Salon: Rush Hair, Piccadilly, London

Age: 26

Why did you want to join the FAME Team?
My colleague Sam Burnett was a member so I initially heard about it from him. It's always been a dream of mine to join because it's a great way to work with new, talented people and industry icons and an amazing chance to learn to expand my creative repertoire

What are you most looking forward to?
Growing with the team - I think when creative minds get together, anything can happen. I love fashion too, so am looking forward to presenting runway collections on stage.

Which hairdressers do you admire the most?
I have learned so much from Tina Farey, she is an amazing talent and I have been very lucky to work closely with her. I would also love to spend the day with Guido.

RYAN HARRIS - ANGELS - CERT.jpg
Ryan Harris

Salon: Angels, Aberdeen

Age: 26

Why did you want to join the FAME Team?
I used to work as a builder but after meeting my boss and mentor Tracey Devine, I decided to make the move. I'm the second one from Angels to make the team and after being nominated for the British Hairdressing Awards this year, I'm really enjoying my fast-track to new-found FAME!

What are you most looking forward to?
I want to ensure I learn as much as I can and push myself to the limit. I'm looking forward to the education, mentoring, shoots, shows, presentations and hopefully overseas travel.

Which hairdressers do you admire the most?
Angelo Seminara and Akin Konizi.
