What Happened at Matrix Synergy?
Following on from
M-Day on 1 March, which was opened by Alfredo Lewis, VP Head of Education for Matrix L’Oréal Worldwide and showcased Matrix’s rebrand, the Synergy event hosted four stages of live and on-demand education.
The four stages of education were split into
Think, Believe, Dream and Dare, helping viewers across the board, with topics such a colouring, cutting, business and social media.
The Think Stage
The Think stage focused on business content and marketing yourself as a hairdresser, while unleashing the imagination when conducting your services, from blow-drying to colour, and learning how to be more diverse in your service offering. Tabatha Coffey also hosted inspirational sessions on being your own boss and boosting your mindset.
The Believe Stage
The Believe stage featured practical sessions, demonstrating colour and cutting techniques, and believing in your skills. Sessions included a Lob tutorial from celebrity stylist and global ambassador Philip Wolff, while Matrix Technical Director Robert Santana showed how to cut on curly hair with confidence.
The Dream Stage
The Dream stage put the wheels in motion for hairdressers to push past their comfort zone and execute a whole range of techniques, from Cynthia Lumzy's session on creating the perfect wig transformation using Matrix’s new SoColor Sync, to nailing the perfect pixie cut with Greg Gilmore.
The Dare Stage
On the Dare stage, Matrix’s artists showcased a number of show-stopping collections and shared their tips and tricks for taking risks and where they got their inspiration. Desmond Murray, Michelle O'Connor and Chrystofer Benson were just some of the artist who showcased their work.
Alongside the classes, the virtual platform also featured a virtual playground where delegates could learn about Matrix’s Pre-bonded, Pre-blended and Pre-paired colour and speak with a brand specialist to learn more about the Matrix brand.
