Matrix destination fame 2011 winners announced
Natasha Douce, of Christian Wiles Hairdressing, Northhampton, Rosie Binns, of Yazz No 1 Hair Studio, Leeds, and Sinead Quinn, also of Yazz No 1 Hair Studio, Leeds, have been named the Matrix Destination Fame 2011 winners.
2011 marks the fourth year of the competition and applicants from all over the UK entered into the no-rules competition once again. Hundreds of entries were received but it was a final 12 who were tasked with recreating their image at the L'Oréal International Academy, scrutinized by the judging panel. Ten of these finalists were selected by industry experts and the remaining two were voted for by the public online, where 22,000 votes were cast.
Each finalist presented their original hair look on a live model in front of a judging panel of hairdressing experts including Terry Longden, Paul Falltrick, Alexander Turnbull, and Jayne Lewis-Orr.
A Year of Fame awaits the three winners, which includes the opportunity to work with and be mentored by some of the industry's most innovative and iconic names, as well as creating looks for the Matrix 2012 calendar.
